1Who We Are and What This Covers
SpeedLabs, Inc., together with its subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively, the "Company", "SpeedLabs", "we", "our" or "us") is committed to safeguarding and preserving the privacy and security of your information and data (referred to as "Information").
We gather Information about you through our websites, www.speedsurvivor.com, join.speedsurvivor.com and www.speedlabs.dev, and our related mobile applications (collectively, the "Platform"), when you (i) participate in our Contests (as defined in our Terms of Service), (ii) view or interact with the Company's social media accounts or any social media accounts or content affiliated with us, or (iii) when you otherwise interact or transact with us.
This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") describes the types of Information we collect from users of the Platform, how we utilize this Information, the circumstances under which it may be shared with other parties, and the controls our users have regarding their Information. We urge you to read this Policy carefully.
Updates or modifications to this Policy will be posted on our mobile app and website. By using or accessing the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this Policy.
2Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of Information through our Platform:
- Personal Data. Details such as your name, email address, physical address, phone number, and other information that can directly identify you.
- Device Information. Information related to the device you are using to access our Platform. It includes your device's network (IP) address, device identifiers, the type of browser and operating system you are using, the identity of your internet service provider, and your device and browser settings.
- Usage Data. Data related to your use of the Platform, including the pages you visit, actions you take within the Platform, the type of content you have accessed, viewed, forwarded and/or clicked on. It also includes general geolocation information, date and time stamps, log files, and diagnostic, crash and performance logs and reports.
General geolocation means the country and, in the United States, the state that a request came from, derived from the network address. We do not collect street-level or GPS location on the Platform. If a future version of the app asks for precise location, it will ask you first and you will be able to refuse.
We collect Personal Data only when you provide it to us. Other types of Information may be collected automatically whenever you use the Platform, through the methods described in section 5. Personal Data and the other Information you submit are collectively referred to as "Submitted Data".
3How We Use Information
We use Personal Data for the following purposes:
- To provide you with the services, features or functionalities related to your participation.
- To respond to your requests and communicate with you regarding the Platform.
- To send you promotional messages, where you have asked to receive them.
- To guard against potential fraud.
- To comply with applicable laws and regulations.
By submitting Personal Data through the Platform, either directly upon request or voluntarily, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Data as outlined in this Policy.
Whether or not you provide Personal Data, whenever you visit the Platform we or our service providers may collect, store or accumulate certain Device Information and Usage Data. This Information may be used for:
- Optimizing the Platform.
- Generating statistics.
- Developing marketing plans.
- General administrative, analytical, research, optimization and security purposes.
Additionally, this data may be used in aggregate form for internal business objectives.
4Sharing of Information
In no event will we disclose, rent, sell or share any of your Personal Data to third parties for direct marketing purposes. We may share your Information in the following instances:
- With our authorized service providers that perform certain services on our behalf, such as hosting, database, email delivery and analytics providers. These service providers may have access to Personal Data needed to perform their functions but are not permitted to share or use your Personal Data for any other purpose.
- In response to subpoenas, court orders or other legal process; to establish or exercise our legal rights; to defend against legal claims; or as otherwise required by law. In such cases we reserve the right to raise or waive any legal objection or right available to us.
- When we believe it is appropriate to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal or suspected illegal activities; to protect and defend the rights, property or safety of our company, our users or others; and in connection with the enforcement of our Terms of Service and other agreements.
- In connection with a corporate transaction, such as a divestiture, merger, consolidation, asset sale, or in the unlikely event of bankruptcy.
5Cookies and Tracking
We may use automatic analytics and tracking technologies to store your Information, collect Device Information and Usage Data, understand your use of the Platform, and customize the content offered to you. Such technologies include:
- Cookies. Cookies are text files placed in your browser to store your preferences. We use cookies to understand site usage and to improve or customize the Platform. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually configure your browser to prevent this. Not accepting cookies may make certain features of the Platform unavailable to you.
- Web beacons. We may also use web beacons, clear GIFs or similar technologies such as tracking pixels, which are small pieces of code placed on a web page or in an email, to monitor behavior and collect data about the visitors viewing a web page or email. In emails we send, these may be used to provide information on the effectiveness of a campaign, such as open and click rates.
The storage this site uses today is limited to the following:
- Essential storage needed for the page to work.
- A random identifier held in your browser for the current tab only, cleared when you close it.
- A cookie recording which version of this page you were shown, so it stays consistent.
- A cookie recording the date of your first visit, and nothing else. It holds no identifier, so two people who first visited on the same day cannot be told apart, and it cannot be used to follow you. It lets us tell a first visit from a return visit and expires after 180 days.
We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you across other sites. We do not serve interest-based advertising on the Platform, we do not allow advertising networks to collect Information through the Platform, and we do not currently use mobile software development kits or mobile advertising identifiers such as an Apple IDFA or an Android Advertising ID. If that changes, we will update this Policy and the date above before it does.
We use Vercel Analytics, provided by Vercel Inc., to count page views in aggregate. It sets no cookies and does not identify you.
You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings, and through the privacy settings of your device. See section 7.
6What This Site Collects Today
This page is a pre-launch reservation form. It is not the app. It collects your name, email address, US state, an optional phone number, and your consent choices. It does not take payment details, it has no accounts, and there is nothing to log in to.
Two further things are recorded. When you reserve a spot we store the network address the request came from, as evidence of when and from where you gave consent; it is kept with your reservation and is not used for anything else. Separately, we record how this page is used: which sections were viewed and for how long, how far down the page you scrolled, which buttons were pressed, and the country and, in the United States, the state the request came from. We also record the kind of browser and device you used, its language and time zone, and whether you had visited before. None of that is taken from a name, an email address or a network address, and we do not buy or add information about you from anywhere else.
Usage is recorded against a random identifier that lives in your browser for the current tab and is cleared when you close it. If you reserve a spot, that identifier is stored alongside your reservation. From that point the record of that visit is connected to you rather than anonymous, and we use it to understand which of our links and which version of this page actually led people to reserve. It was previously stated here that the usage record was never connected to a reservation; that changed on 21 August 2026 and this section was updated to say so.
You can ask us to erase the usage record connected to your reservation, and we will do so without affecting the spot you reserved. See section 7.
7Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your Personal Data:
- The right to access your Personal Data.
- The right to correct inaccurate information.
- The right to delete your Personal Data.
- The right to restrict processing of your data.
- The right to data portability.
- The right to object to certain processing activities.
To exercise any of these, email support@speedlabs.dev with "Privacy" in the subject line.
Opting out of communications. We may use the Personal Data we collect from you to send you newsletters, push notifications, general communications and promotional emails. If you do not want to receive such communications, you can opt out by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our communications, by unchecking the applicable box when prompted, or by simply not opting in when prompted. You may also at any time opt out by sending an email to support@speedlabs.dev with the subject line "Opt Out". Please note that even if you unsubscribe from our communications, we may still need to contact you with important information related to your reservation or your account. For example, even if you have unsubscribed from our promotional emails, we may still send you emails to alert you to changes to our Terms of Service or this Policy.
Disallowing cookies and location data collection. You can opt out of the collection and use of certain Information we collect by automated means by changing the settings in the device you use to access the Platform. In addition, your browser may tell you how to be notified of and opt out of receiving certain types of cookies. Without cookies you may not be able to use all of the features of the Platform. If a future version of the app asks you to share precise location information, you will be able to turn that off at any time thereafter in the privacy settings of your mobile device or in the application, which will also cause you to lose the feature for which the location data was collected.
8Data Retention
We retain the Personal Data we receive as described in this Policy for as long as you use the Platform or as necessary to fulfill the purpose or purposes for which it was collected, resolve disputes, establish legal defenses, conduct audits, pursue legitimate business purposes, enforce our agreements and comply with applicable laws.
For the usage records described in section 6, the periods are shorter and fixed:
- The detailed record of individual actions on the page is deleted after 30 days.
- The summary of a visit is deleted after 180 days.
- Day-by-day totals, which count visits and contain nothing that identifies a person, are kept indefinitely.
Reservation and consent records may be retained for extended periods as required by gaming regulations and tax laws.
9Privacy and Security
It is entirely your choice whether or not you provide the Submitted Data to us. We take reasonable precautions to protect our customers' Submitted Data against loss, misuse, unauthorized disclosure, alteration and destruction. However, please remember that no transmission of data over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your Submitted Data, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any Information that you transmit to us or from us, and you do so at your own risk. You hereby acknowledge that we are not responsible for any intercepted information sent via the Internet, and you hereby release us from any and all claims arising out of or related to the use of intercepted information in any unauthorized manner.
If you believe your Submitted Data is being improperly used by us or any third party, please notify us immediately at support@speedlabs.dev. You further acknowledge that you use the Platform at your own risk, and that you are responsible for taking reasonable measures to secure your account, such as keeping your password secret, once accounts are available.
10Links to Other Sites
Our Platform contains links to other third-party websites. We do not control the personal data collection methods of third-party websites that can be reached through links from our Platform. We encourage you to be aware when you are leaving our Platform and to read the privacy statements of any third-party website that collects your personal data.
11Persons Under 18
We do not permit anyone under the age of 18 to use the Platform, nor do we knowingly collect or solicit Personal Data directly from anyone under the age of 18. If you are under 18, please do not send any Personal Data about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number or email address. In the event that we learn that we have collected Personal Data from a person under age 18, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
12International Transfers
Your Information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your Personal Data during such transfers.
13Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to change this Policy at any time. In the event we make changes to this Policy, the revised Policy will be re-posted in the "Privacy" section of our Platform with the date such modifications were made indicated at the top of the page. Please review this Policy from time to time so that you are aware when any changes are made.
14Your Agreements
You represent and warrant that any Personal Data you provide us is true and correct and relates to you and not to any other person. If you use the Platform, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for restricting access to your computer or device, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
