1Scope and Precedence
These Contest Rules govern entry into and participation in any Speed Survivor Contest. By entering a Contest you agree to be bound by these Rules, which are incorporated into the Terms of Service by reference.
Where these Rules conflict with the Terms of Service, the Terms control, except where these Rules expressly state that they supersede the Terms for a specific Contest. Individual Contests may publish supplementary rules covering eligibility, entry fees, prize structures, scoring, and tie-breaking; those supplementary rules apply in addition to this document.
2Contest Format
Speed Survivor Contests are live, elimination-style prediction competitions tied to real-world sporting events. Users answer yes or no questions generated in real time based on live game conditions, including momentum, score, clock, possession, player performance, and other contextual factors.
Questions are generated continuously during the underlying sporting event rather than set before it begins. Every question resolves objectively against official game data.
3Scoring and Tie-Breaks
Correct answers score. Incorrect answers score nothing. Each question carries a multiplier that is highest when the question opens and decays as the response window runs, so a correct answer given earlier is worth more than the same answer given later.
Placement is determined by total points earned across the Contest. Ties are broken by response speed. Placement determines payout.
4Elimination and Advancement
A Contest runs across twelve rounds, one question per round. An incorrect answer costs you the points for that question but does not, by itself, end your Contest.
Elimination is instead applied at set cut points during the Contest. At each cut, the bottom 25% of the remaining field by total points is eliminated and takes no further part in that Contest. At launch there is a single cut at halftime. Cuts are expected to move to a quarterly cadence after launch.
Cut points, cut percentages and cadence are set per Contest and published in that Contest's supplementary rules.
5The Perfect 36
The Perfect 36 is a grand-prize competition carrying a prize of $3,600,000. Opting in is free and is required once. After opting in, every question you answer in a paid-entry Contest counts toward your run.
- Answer 36 questions correctly in a row to win the grand prize.
- Only questions in paid-entry Contests count toward your run.
- One wrong answer resets your run to zero.
- Response speed breaks every tie.
- There is no deadline. A run can take as long as it takes.
The Perfect 36 is a contest of skill and is open to Users aged 18 or over, void where prohibited.
A Contest is twelve questions, so a Perfect 36 run is three complete Contests answered without a single incorrect answer. The three Contests need not fall in the same weekend, and there is no deadline for completing a run.
6Entry and Prize Distribution
Prize pools are funded by the entry fees paid into that Contest and are held by a third-party custodian. Speed Labs may, at its discretion, add prizes to a pool but does not guarantee any pool size. Opening weekend Contests carry pools of up to $10,000 per Contest. The entry fee and the prize pool for a given Contest are displayed on that Contest before entry.
Prizes won are paid in full to the winning User's balance. That is a separate undertaking from the size of any pool, which is not guaranteed.
Entry fees, where charged, are paid solely to obtain gameplay access to a Contest of skill. They are not a bet, wager, or stake on the outcome of any underlying sporting event. Prizes are awarded to the Users whose own skill-based performance meets the criteria set out for that Contest.
Participation does not guarantee any prize. Outcomes depend on your decisions, these Rules, third-party data feeds, and real-world sporting events that are inherently uncertain.
7Results and Binding Decisions
Speed Labs's calculations, scoring, and determinations of Contest outcomes, standings, and prizes are final, binding, and non-appealable, except that Speed Labs may, in its sole discretion, correct obvious errors and address technical failures. That includes adjusting scoring, modifying prize pools, canceling or rescheduling Contests, or declaring no results in cases of data irregularities, force-majeure events, or other circumstances that materially affect the fairness or viability of a Contest.
8Integrity and Anti-Cheating
Because the Service relies on the skill of its Users, Speed Labs takes additional measures to protect Contest integrity and may, without limitation:
- Deploy bot-detection, anti-collusion, and anomaly-detection systems.
- Review gameplay logs, response times, device telemetry, and account behavior.
- Disqualify entries, void prizes, and suspend or terminate accounts found to have used prohibited automation, multiple accounts, collusion, or other unfair means.
- Adjust Contest mechanics, question difficulty, or scoring to promote fairness, equal opportunity, and compliance with applicable law.
You may maintain only one Speed Survivor account. Multiple accounts are prohibited.
9Connectivity and Data Feeds
The Service uses real-time and near-real-time technology, third-party data feeds, and live event information. Speed Labs does not warrant that any such data is accurate, complete, or current. In the event of discrepancies, Speed Labs's determination of the official Contest outcome will govern.
You are solely responsible for maintaining a compatible device and a stable, continuous internet connection sufficient to support real-time gameplay. Network interruptions, latency, packet loss, Wi-Fi handoffs, carrier limitations, VPNs, background app activity, battery-saver modes, and other device or network conditions may cause delays, lag, missed prompts, or failure to receive updates in real time. Because response speed affects both scoring and tie-breaks, these conditions may affect your result.
10Eligibility
Contests are open to Users aged 18 or over, or the legal age in their jurisdiction where that age is higher. Contests are void where prohibited and are subject to state eligibility. Speed Survivor is not currently available in Arizona, Arkansas, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, or Washington.
Speed Survivor is a game of skill. Statistical analysis using binomial, chi-square, and Kruskal-Wallis tests shows that skilled players consistently outperform chance expectations, and third-party testing has validated those claims. See the Responsible Play statement for the tools available to help you stay in control.
